We all knew this time would come again…
After six years dormant as a group, Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Kevin Jonas are officially back as the Jonas Brothers. (That felt good to say TBH!)
There had been rumors that the trio may be getting back together to release new music for some time now, and when they deleted all their past social media posts, fans knew something was going on – and they were right!
The brothers Jonas are kicking off their comeback with a brand new single called “Sucker“! The song, produced by Ryan Tedder and co-produced by Frank Dukes, finds them diving right back into their signature Top 40, pop-rock radio sound but with a more sophisticated, slick and funky, sexed up edge.
“I’m a sucker for you/ You say the word and I’ll go anywhere blindly/ I’m a sucker for you, yeah/ Any road you take you know that you’ll find me/ I am a sucker for all the subliminal things/ No one knows about you (About you), ’bout you (About you)…,” the guys confess on the whistle-aided chorus.
The theme? The guys are feeling the love. They’ve got plenty of reason to, they’re all boo’d up. As a result, the JBros have provided us with a tune that bursts with a lovestuck giddiness while managing to stay true to their usual arena-ready, guitar-driven goodness.
“It’s got a great rock feel to it, mixed with some really soulful elements on the vocals,” Nick said in a statement. “The lyric is about being hopelessly in love, and that’s something that resonates with all of us. Kevin’s got a wife of ten years and two kids, I’m newly married, and Joe gets married later on this year. The love in our world,to be able to share that with our fans, that’s a dream come true.”
If that wasn’t enough, the guys have also debuted the appropriately cinematic video for the song. Shot in the UK by director Anthony Mandler at the Hatfield House, the clip features the brothers’ and their significant others – Danielle Jonas, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Sophie Turner – having some fun in a sort of The Favourite meets Marie Antoinette lovefest.
Honestly, everything about this screams joy, joy, joy. Together is where they belong – LOVE!
