‘One More’: SG Lewis & Nile Rodgers Provide A Joyous Dance Escape!

With just over 2 weeks left to go until the release of his debut album times, my forever King, SG Lewis is giving us just “One More” taste of what’s to come from the long-awaited record dropping on February 19.

We’ve had the great pleasure of hearing almost half of SG‘s debut now: From the brilliant title track, to “Feed The Fire” with Lucky Daye to summer staples, “Chemicals” and “Impact” with Robyn and Channel Tres — and they’re all superb. There’s simply not a single skip in the set!

The singer-songwriter-DJ-producer just dropped yet another cut from the collection, appropriately called “One More” with the legendary Nile Rodgers, and this one is certainly no exception.

Speaking about this iconic collaboration, Nile Rodgers revealed in a satement, “SG and I have been working together at my home away from home, Abbey Road, for a couple of years now. I love how effortless and cool this song is. The awesome Julian Bunetta and John Ryan wrote on this with us and killed it!”

SG Lewis adds, “‘One More‘ was the first song I wrote for this record in LA, and one that set me on the path to making this whole album. Working with Nile Rodgers was an experience which will stay with me for the rest of my life. To have someone who has influenced not only this album, but my entire career play on this song is mind blowing.”

And truly, what a dreamy team-up it is! “One More” is the kind of sun-kissed, slick and sensual, disco-meets-modern anthem that perfectly captures that feeling of euphoria: it’s shimmering, bright, and joyous just like the bulk of what we’ve already heard.

I know you can’t stay here forever/ I know you’ve got friends in the bathroom stall, Been wanna do this since I met you/ Can we just stay here for one more song…,” SG pleads on the chorus.

As with many of the songs released in the past year, the chorus of “One More” especially takes on new meaning amid a pandemic. I know we all got plenty of nostalgic feelings of having just “One More” song on the dance floor. It’s an unintentionally relatable, nostalgic, endlessly delicious dance floor anthem for the (hopefully) near future.

There’s no doubt about it: SG Lewis is coming for that early crown in 2021.

“One More” by SG Lewis & Nile Rodgers is available on all streaming services now!
