Queer Necessities: Jon Ali’s Best of 2020!

Beautiful music lovers: We have reached the end of 2020. I think I can speak on behalf of most of us when I say: thank fucking God. Good riddance bitch!

While the COVID-19 pandemic might have kept us stuck at home for a majority of the year, music felt more important and prominent than ever. As always around this time, I like to look back at some of the music blessings that were gifted to us throughout the year.

Artists part of LGBTQ+ community especially went out of their way to make sure we were constantly supplied with ample amounts of pop escapism, so without further ado I present to you: Queer Necessities: Best of 2020!

Song lists, specifically, are always a pain in my booty because it’s a bit overwhelming to rank songs that I genuinely love from an entire year. The truth is: I think all these songs/artists are great and are deserving of spotlight. I’ve enjoyed them all throughout the year for all varying different reasons and there is no real ranking here. Song placements on this playlist are solely for continuity purposes, it’s meant to be a start-to-finish listening experience and that’s how I always intend it to be.

This is meant for you to enjoy. An end of year treat. Subscribe to the playlist now and support these artists!
