When the New Delhi-born New York-based actor and singer released his debut single “Feel Good Song,” he had no idea that it would immediately get spotlighted by Spotify and eventually gain him over 2 million streams and counting. Since then, Vardaan has been steadily claiming his own space in the pop indie scene, and creating music he feels is authentically himself.
After four years of writing and releasing his own music, Vardaan finally committed to releasing his first real body of work with the release of his debut EP, Heartbreak on the Dance Floor, in the middle of the pandemic.
On this episode, I dive into how we originally met each other, as well as Vardaan‘s love for pop queens, making the move from New Delhi to New York, the breakout moment that launched his music career, the making of his EP Heartbreak on the Dance Floor, his plans for the future and so much more.
