Little Mix Get Swept Away On New Summer-Ready Single, ‘Holiday’!
Quarantine getting you down? In dire need of a little escape? A little “Holiday“?
Pack your bags: the brand new single from Little Mix, “Holiday,” is here, and it’s just the quick escape you need.
The track, written with members Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and frequent collaborator KAMILLE, is a burst of summertime joy, loaded with a sleek sheen of sunny synths, a hot strut of a beat and funky flourishes that’ll almost make you forget that we’re in the middle of a global pandemic.
The ladies of Little Mix are feeling liberated from their break-up (“Break Up Song“), and fully ready to grind up against some boys, boys boys.
“Can we make it all night, we don’t stop/ Fill up on my body, babe, oh/ Touch me like a summer night, you feel like a holiday,” the ladies declare on the joyous anthem. “Up all night, we don’t stop, fill up on my body, babe/ We’re just dancing the night away/ Boy, you feel like a holiday.”
The chorus is a no-brainer of an earworm, followed by an even bigger no-brainer of an earworm post-chorus: “So I’ma let go!/ No one else in the world could ever come close to you, baby (Oh-oh).” Yes, they gave us not one, but two choruses. The level of flawless pop execution is severely on point.
Our new summer 2020 anthem has arrived. “Holiday“! Celebrate!
