We have reached the season one finale of On Track!
In case you’ve been out of the loop, On Track is my interview series highlighting LGBTQ+ talent. For the finale episode, we’re putting our focus on gender fluid half-Korean multi-talent, Chester Lockhart!
While you may or may not recognize Chester Lockhart‘s name, you certainly recognize their face from their cameos in Taylor Swift‘s “You Need To Calm Down” video, as well as their appearances in over 300 of Todrick Hall‘s YouTube videos. Chester‘s no one trick pony either, the singer-songwriter-creative director-actor-producer (and more) has been developing their own sound for over the last two years – from the 2018 Halloween cover of “I Put a Spell on You” to their vengeful single “In Loving Memory” to their most most recent release, the dark electro-pop banger “The Night.”
I sat down with Chester Lockhart to discuss their Seoul Train K-Pop party with RuPaul’s Drag Race star Soju, their upbringing, their work behind-the-scenes in the music industry, as well as their own music, plans for the future and much more.
