On Track with Dorian Electra!

One on one, friend to friend: It’s time for episode two of season one of On Track!

In case you missed it, On Track is my brand new interview series with a focus on highlighting LGBTQ+ talent. For episode two, we’re putting our focus on rising non-binary pop star Dorian Electra!

Captured and edited by: Matthew Dean Stewart

Over the past year, Dorian has gained a queer cult following thanks to releases like “Jackpot,” “VIP,” “Career Boy” and “Daddy Like.” In July, they finally released their anticipated debut album Flamboyant, which takes on the ideals of masculinity by shaping and breaking stereotypes – as seen in “Man To Man” where Dorian takes on toxic masculinity whilst “Career Boy” comments on the fetishization of work in our modern capitalist society.

I sat down with Dorian to discuss growing up in Texas, how they began to create music, prepping the release of Flamboyant, working with Charli XCX, as well as their tour, plans for the future and much more.

Check out the interview below and make sure to follow Dorian Electra on Instagram and Twitter, for all the latest updates.
