Required Listening of the Week: LÉON’s Self-Titled Debut!

This is a time to rejoice! Why? Because after years of stanning, my darling Swedish babe LÉON (the bestie in my head), has finally released her anticipated self-titled debut album worldwide!

If you’re just now getting familiar with the underrated singer-songstress, I’ve been championing her since the release of her 2015 hit “Tired of Talking.” From the brilliant offerings on her debut Treasure EP to everything on last year’s For You EP and Surround Me EP – she has not stopped releasing good music. There’s simply not a single dud in her discography. Not one!

LÉON is the album of Winter 2019 (yeah, I said it), as well as one of the best records of the year so far – a flavorful collection of sparkling up-tempos and heartfelt ballads packed with superb lyricism, dreamy productions, ruthlessly catchy hooks and an unwavering sophistication throughout.

Obvious highlights include the undeniable singles “Baby Don’t Talk,” “Falling” and “You and I.” Of the new songs in the set, opener “Lost Time” is stellar, “Hope Is a Heartache” is fantastic (simply storytelling gold), and “What You Said” is beyond excellent, too, in it’s pacing alone. There are no misses in this set. She’s been quietly killing it for some time now, and it’s about time everyone took notice. DIVE IN!

LÉON’s self-titled debut is also available to download on iTunes now!
