2018 was a pretty great year for our Aussie babe Betty Who – and 2019 is already shaping up to be even better.
After leaving us with her beautiful serenade “Between You and Me” at the tail end of last year, the “Somebody Loves You” songstress is ready to pick things up again with yet another glimpse into her forthcoming album, Betty, with the release of her new single: “I Remember,” produced by Peter Thomas and Kyle Moorman.
Much like all things Betty Who, “I Remember” is a classic-feeling slice of straight-up, joyous power pop – which is to say it’s a super sparkly, dance-ready and breathlessly earnest musical escape.
“‘I Remember‘ is exactly the way I wanted to start my new year. It’s such a representation of the album and my obsession with making music that makes people feel good,” Betty said in a statement. “The whole point of the song is about letting go of how hard life (and especially love) can be at times and remembering why you do it in the first place. Love is never going to be perfect. Sometimes it will be easy, most times it will be hard, but all the time it’s worth it because, when you’re with the right person, you are willing to work for it.”
Betty Who is always at her best when she takes on the dance floor, and “I Remember” is certainly no exception.
