I’ve yet to give it a proper shout, but MØ‘s sophomore album Forever Neverland is without a doubt one of the year’s vest best. The 14-track set is a cohesive pack of fresh and original pop gems, showcasing the Danish talent’s ability to bring creativity to the pop genre with each successive release.
“Blur” is one of the album’s finest moments. And thankfully, she’s selected it as the next single from the campaign.
The song, co-helmed by STINT, BONN and Albin Nedler, takes a singer-songwriter approach at its intro and then slowly builds into an explosive future-bass gem, which, in this case, equates to sonic excellence.
In hopes to give the song a bit of an extra boost, MØ‘s enlisted Foster the People front-man Mark Foster to lay down a brand new verse on the single re-release. It thankfully doesn’t damage the song in anyway, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I wasn’t already loyal to the solo version.
With any luck, the re-vamp will at least garner “Blur” the attention it truly deserves – is that so much to ask?
