Cheat Codes & Kim Petras Make Dance-Pop Magic On ‘Feeling of Falling’!

In just two short years, EDM trio Cheat Codes have quickly become a name to watch in the popsphere thanks to their consistent string of work with some of today’s top musical acts, including Demi Lovato, for their smash radio-ready success, “No Promises,” rapper Fetty Wap for “Feels Great,” and most recently Little Mix with “Only You,” which managed a #13 peak on the UK Singles Chart.

This time around, they’ve tagged rising pop princess Kim Petras for their latest single, “Feeling of Falling.” The song combines wistful guitar chords, effervescent synths, gripping bass, and pitched-up vocal chops to complement Kim‘s instantly infectious crooning about a potential heart to break (SEE WHAT I DID THERE).

I hate the feeling of falling/ I can’t keep bleeding, I’m sorry/ I’ll take the blame if you want me/ ‘Cause I hate the feeling of falling in love…,” Kim declares before the stuttering breakdown comes surging into the speakers. “The feeling of falling/ The feeling of falling in love.”

It’s a welcome new take on Kim‘s signature happy-go-lucky spree of lovey-doveyness, as she continues to build her profile – LOVE!

“‘Feeling of Falling‘ is a song about ending up brokenhearted and trying to stay away from love to protect yourself,” Kim said in a statement. “I’m the biggest emo so I really connected to the song! Cheat Codes are amazing and I’ve had the best time collaborating on this one.”

Cheat Codes & Kim Petras’ “Feeling of Falling” is also available on Apple Music and Spotify!
