‘Over You’: Solomon Ray’s Heartbreak On the Dancefloor Anthem!

It’s about time I got something up on the talented and handsome, Solomon Ray.

The rising NYC-based signer is a San Diego native who was born to an African-American mother and Mexican father. He makes delicious reggaeton-drenched Latin-pop armed with addictive hooks, pulsating beats and sensual undercurrents, seated somewhere at the table alongside Becky G, Maluma, CNCO and Enrique Iglesias. You know, somewhere right in there. Also, he’s openly queer – a rarity in the Latin music landscape. We stan and support.

Following the release of his summer anthem “Así Así,” Solomon returns with yet another hot throb titled, “Over You“!

Produced by his frequent collaborator Daneon, “Over You” finds Solomon bouncing back and forth between English and Spanish verses as he croons about love loss across sun-drenched, Latin-flavored beats. “I’m just tryin to get over you/ Ya no quiero buscarte mas/ Ya no quiero pensarte mas/ I’m just tryin to get over you…

The song offers some spiritual healing and yet packs in enough of a pulse to keep those feet racing as quickly as our hearts. It’s heartbreak on the dancefloor, my favorite kind of song. Get familiar now!

Solomon Ray’s new single “Over You” is also available on Apple Music, Spotify and other streaming services now!
