God bless LÉON. The gorgeous Swedish singer-songwriter has been nothing but consistent since the release of her 2015 hit “Tired of Talking.” From the brilliant offerings on her debut Treasure EP to everything on last year’s For You EP and Surround Me EP — she has not stopped releasing good music. There’s simply not a single dud in her discography. Not one!
Now, there’s another slice of Swede-pop greatness to set the mood just right in preparation of her highly anticipated full-length LP, due out next year via her own LÉON Recordings imprint in partnership with BMG. It’s called “Falling,” and it serves as the official follow-up to her triumphant return earlier this fall, “Baby Don’t Talk.”
Produced by Norwegian songwriting and production duo, Electric (Jess Glynne, Little Mix, Jonas Blue), “Falling” tells that all too relatable tale of knowing in your heart that a relationship is over, but having a hard time letting go.
“Now I’m calling you up to see where you are/ Why is it so easy to break the rules after dark/ And we’re falling back together we’re all over each other/ Tomorrow we’re falling apart/ Then I’m calling you up to see where you are,” LÉON confesses across the swirl of warm summertime synths, disco bass plucks, crashing drums and almighty, echoing vocals.
There’s just no end to the LÉON reign. I urge you to get familiar if you haven’t already.
