Cardi B is ready to make more “Money” moves!
The “I Like It” hit-maker has dropped her brand new single “Money” two days ahead of its previously scheduled release on Thursday (October 25) – it’s the first solo release since her debut album Invasion of Privacy.
On the track, produced by her frequent “Bodak Yellow” collaborator J. White, Cardi raps about exactly what you might expect — her love of money — over a simplistic, hard-hitting beat. “I was born to flex, diamonds on my neck / I like boardin’ jets / I like morning sex,” Cardi raps. “But nothin’ in this world that I like more than checks.”
Cardi also addresses her haters (“I heard that Cardi went pop / Yeah, I did go pop / That’s me bustin’ they bubble“), her competitors (“Cardi at the tip-top, bitch / Kiss the ring and kick rocks, sis“), and shouts out her and Offset‘s newly born daughter (“But nothin’ in this world that I like more than… Kulture!“).
While I don’t think the song is on the same level as her previous hits, I commend her for kicking along while her flame is still very hot. Cardi is here to stay – Listen below!
