Disclosure are truly back in action.
Following up the surprise release of their Fatoumata Diawara-assisted “Ultimatum” back in May, the UK brother production duo – Guy and Howard Lawrence – have been rolling out a non-stop web of new tracks this week, starting with “Moonlight” on Monday (August 20), “Where Angels Fear To Tread” on Tuesday (August 21) and “Love Can Be So Hard” on Wednesday (August 22).
Each track thus far has been infused with a unique dance-centric soundscape that touches on everything from ’80’s pop, house, jazz, a cappella, and groovy, disco-inspired greatness.
Today’s (August 23) offering, is itself inspired by a remix: “Funky Sensation” marries Disclosure‘s love for disco with a modern and upbeat house arrangement. In a tweet, Disclosure explain, “We took Alka_Lino‘s version of this classic song by Gwen McCrae and flipped it again. Hope this one gets you moving.”
There’s still no official word on an upcoming album from Disclosure as of yet, but we can only further speculate that these singles will lead to a new larger project, or at very least, another single tomorrow to cap off a full week of new material.
