Unless you’re new around these parts, you already know there’s a new pop supergroup in town!
Producer Diplo recently teamed up with Sia and Labrinth to form a trio called, naturally enough, LSD. Following the release of their first two singles, “Audio” and “Genius,” in May, the trio have remained silent… until now that is.
This week, LSD are back with a third single called, “Thunderclouds“! The song continues their strong run, providing a melodic anthem with a winsome but subtle danceability. “You.re sayin’ those words like you hate me now (wo-oah)/ Our house is burning when you’re raising in hell (wo-oah)/ There in the ashes your soul cries out (a-a-ah)/ But don.t be afraid of these thunderclouds/ These thunderclouds, oh, no,” Lab and Sia cry out on the hook.
The message behind the song is basically What Doesn’t Kill Us, Make Us Stronger, explaining that two loved ones shouldn’t be afraid of the negative things and emotions they experience because of the past and to put their trust in them instead.
It’s a beautiful sentiment and one thing that stands out is the clear chemistry Labrinth, Sia and Diplo have formed. LOVE!
