KStewart is back, “better” and also no longer KStewart. She’s beginning anew!
For those of you not already familiar with the British diva, KStewart initially made a name for herself back in 2015 with the release of her fantastic, ’90’s-feeling pop anthems “Keeping You Up,” “Ain’t Nobody,” “Be Without You,” and so on… I’ve been hooked on her ever since.
She now goes under her full name, Kate Stewart, and is prepping the release of her debut project: In The Beginning EP!
After re-introducing herself with the minimalist soulful serenade “Loving You” in May, Kate drops her second single “He’s Good,” a sweetly-sung R&B-pop ditty that is giving me all sorts of millennial pop (or “Y2K Pop,” if you will) realness, bringing everything from Destiny’s Child to Aaliyah to TLC and 3LW to mind.
“He’s good, he’s good/ he’s good, he’s good, he’s good/ but baby, I’m better, better, better…,” she declares across the strut-ready bounce. The song sees Kate taking a more soulful route and the maturity and sophistication over both her voice and the music as a whole definitely makes it clear that she’s not playing this time around. She’s “better, better, better” indeed!
