There comes a time in every relationship when enough is enough…
For rising Pittsburgh-bred songstress Jaira Burns that time is now, no more “Sugarcoat,” babe. Following the release of her summery debut “Ugly,” the moody “Slow Burn,” the oh-so-lit “High Rollin” and “Okokok” back in March, Jaira unleashes her new single “Sugarcoat” – and, uninspiring, it’s really, really good! ALSO: Jaira‘s had it, officially.
The ADP electro-pop production sees Jaira‘s raspy vocals belting out some decisive lyrics as she firmly announces the end of a relationship: “And I hate your tattoos and your hair and your car and your clothes/ And I hate when you’re drinking ’cause that’s when you fuck up the most,” the singer comes for her ex with a variety of stinging, shaming lines on the hook. “And I hate that I gave you a chance when I know that you’re not what I want/ And I can’t sugarcoat it, coat it/ No I, I, I, I, I, I can’t.” Well, damn.
Jaira clearly has the pipes to pull a song like this off; and she surly knows how to sing the pain away – I SAY WIN!
