Jennifer Lopez Lets Loose On New Spanish Single, ‘El Anillo’!

She’s snapped!

After taking a quick detour back into the English-speaking side of things with “Us” in February, Jennifer Lopez has returned with yet another brand new Spanish single called “El Anillo” (it means “the ring” in English). The unstoppable pop force premiered the track live at the 2018 Billboard Latin Awards on Thursday (April 26) before the official release made its way onto the digital waves at midnight – and it’s lit!

The song’s lyrics are unapologetically provocative, with sexy come-on’s like “Me tratas como una princesa y me das lo que pido. Tu tienes el bate y la fuerza que yo necesito” — which translates to “You treat me like a princess and give me what I ask. You have the bat and the strength I need,” alluding to her relationship with boyfriend and baseball legend Alex Rodriguez.

Most of J.Lo‘s Spanish releases have been hit or miss for me, but this is going straight into my summer 2018 playlist. Mama did that!

In other news, an English-singing Jennifer is featured on hit-making producer Poo Bear‘s freshly released album Poo Bear Presents: Bearthday Music with “Put Your Lovin Where Your Mouth Is,” an infectious #SomethingMoreUrban bop all about actions speaking louder than words – or in this case, money.
