Remember Jason Mraz?
Yes, the adorable singer-songwriter who has brought us countless heart-warming and uplifting guitar-pop smashes over the past decade – from 2003’s “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry)” and “You and I Both,” to 2005’s “Wordplay,” 2008’s “I’m Yours” and “Lucky” with Colbie Caillat to 2012’s “I Won’t Give Up” – has returned to lift up our souls.
As the title suggests, Jason‘s brand new single “Have It All,” from his forthcoming follow-up to 2014′ Yes!, is an uplifting, and yes, truly cheesy serenade. But did you expect anything less?
“Well, here’s to the hearts that you gonna break/ Here’s to the lies that you gonna change/ Here’s to the excellence, possible ways to love you/ I want you to have it,” Jason declares over the giddy, guitar-driven production. “Here’s to the good times we gonna have/ The only money, you got 3 pairs/ Here’s to the fact that I’ll be sad without you/ I want you to have it all.”
Jason‘s always been outspoken when it comes to advocating for all things good vibes only, and in “Have It All,” the message without a doubt shines through. Welcome back sir!
