Tinashe’s Sophomore Album ‘Joyride’ Finally Arrives – Stream Here!

The wait is finally over.

In retrospect, Joyride is actually quite the fitting title for Tinashe‘s second studio album, considering the R&B-pop princess endured such a long and complicated uphill journey to get to this point: Delays. Pushbacks. Label drama. Failed singles. And the list goes on…

But now, leaving delays in the dust, Tinashe revs up her engine and delivers her long-awaited sophomore album Joyride. The “pop star aka a problem” brings star power along for the ride. Offset drives shotgun on “No Drama,” while French Montana and Ty Dolla $ign roll through on “Me So Bad,” Future gets faded on “Faded Love” and Little Dragon get experimental on “Stuck With Me.”

With only nine real tracks, Joyride indeed runs a bit short — her mixtapes, Aquarius and Joyride prelude Nightride all offer a lot more to chew on — but it certainly does feel like her most consistent, cohesive record to date. Whether that’s because she’s had the time to deliver something truly realized, or because she’s been deemed a priority again by her label, or simply because she’s just more confident than ever, Tinashe‘s found herself in a good place once again — resulting in one 2018’s early favorites.

Tinashe’s sophomore album Joyride is also available on Apple Music now!
