Betty Who is a free bird looking to get your attention!
After fiercely moving forward with “Ignore Me” just a few weeks ago, the 26-year-old Australian talent is right back at it with a hypnotic second offering from her upcoming indie project.
This time around, she’s swerving slightly left into a sassy new lane, daring you to “look back, look back, look back” across the strut-ready, Big Taste-produced “Look Back,” co-written alongside Jesse Saint John and Kate Morgan.
We already know Betty‘s totally capable of throwing it down and showing off her fierce footwork with uptempo cuts like “Human Touch” and “Mama Say” – she’s one of the few pop girls serving up consistent choreography in the music game today, after all. But on “Look Back,” Betty is feeling sexier than ever — channeling a bit of Brit Brit, naturally.
“Betcha I can make you look back, look back, look back/ Betcha I can make you look back, look back, look back,” she declares atop the infectious, island-tinged stomp. “Tell yourself that we’re just friends/ When this conversation ends/ I bet you’re gonna look back, look back/ Look back at it.”
The song feels both seductive and slightly twisted, I am here for it.
