Following collaborations with J Balvin (“Mi Gente“) and Eminem (“Walk On Water“), Beyoncé blesses us with yet another brand new collaboration. This time, Queen Bey teams up with Ed Sheeran on a brand new duet version of his latest ÷ (Divide) single “Perfect,” which is currently #5 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The new version of “Perfect” is appropriately titled “Perfect Duet” as it is indeed just the same song with some additional vocals from Beyoncé.
Ed kicks off the romantic acoustic ballad before Bey adds her powerful pipes in the second verse “Well, I found a man stronger than anyone I know,” she sings. “He shares my dreams / I hope that someday we’ll share our home / I found a love to carry more than just my secrets / To carry love, to carry children of our own” — plus some harmonized ad-libs at the end of the track.
The two are no strangers. They performed a Stevie Wonder tribute together during a 2015 Grammy special and even teamed up for a “Drunk in Love” duet at the Global Citizen Festival in 2015. Together, they sound near “Perfect.” A solid surprise, no doubt.
