Kelly Clarkson has found her own meaning of life, life, life, life…
Following the double release of lead single “Love So Soft” and “Move You,” the My December legend has revealed “Meaning of Life,” the title track of her forthcoming album, Meaning of Life, which is finally set to arrive next week on October 27.
Kelly’s no stranger to supplying us uplifting lovey-dovey anthems — see “Heartbeat Song” — and she continues to do so in “Meaning of Life,” produced by Jesse Shatkin. There are plenty of earworm melodies and a soaring chorus (“You show me the meaning of life/ Meaning of life, life, life, life“), but the best part, obviously, is the way Kelly is just letting loosing throughout and just providing the kind of pipes we’ve come to expect from the beloved American Idol Queen.
I mean, just that bridge alone is a showstopper: “You lift me up/ You take me higher and higher/ The truth is I’m in love/ Can you feel us, we’re flying higher…” She’s quite literally belting her face off all the way up to pop-heaven. Are you feeling lifted like Kelly?
“‘Meaning of Life‘ is the song that started this entire project,” Kelly explained in a statement. “The vibe, soul, and message of this song was very critical to show other writers and producers of the new direction we were taking.”
