All good things must come to an end…
Following the release of the gospel-like “Surround Me,” the superbly great slice of melancholy “Body” and the truly stunning “I Believe In Us,” LÉON completes the road to her Surround Me EP with “No Goodbyes,” the opening number and final new cut from her just released 4-track collection. (She’s all about the EP’s)
The soaring, break-up anthem keeps in line with the lush electro-pop sounds of her predecessors, but adds a touch more of that gospel-like feel we first heard on title track “Surround Me.” And as per usual, the song’s loaded with rich husky vocals and a chorus that just won’t quit: “I‘m not good at goodbyes/ I never was/ And I don’t know why/ Tell me, tell me that it was love/ That it was real/ Remember all,” she sings. “That you have me/ If you still want me/ Baby, I’m not good at goodbyes/ I never was/ And I don’t know why.”
It’s purely the heaven-sent stuff of LÉON. Bless!
