Jason Derulo Rolls The Dice On New Single, ‘If I’m Lucky’!

Feelin’ lucky, music lovers?

It’s been a few months since Jason Derulo‘s released his Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign-assisted dancehall throb “Swalla,” but it looks like the “Want to Want Me” hit-maker is finally ready to get his head back in the game with the announcement of: 777, his fifth studio album set to be launched in three packs of seven songs (21 in total), each to be released at different times throughout 2017 and 2018.

And to kick things off, Jason‘s decided to release a brand new single called “If I’m Lucky,” produced by Mattman & Robin and co-written by Justin Tranter. The track sees Jason lacing his infectious vocals on-top of a meaty guitar-laced, electro-pop production. “If I’m lucky I’ll meet ya, flip side of the graveyard/ ‘Cause things didn’t work out in this life, but someday/ If I’m lucky I’ll met ya, head in the high water/ ‘Cause things didn’t work out in this life, but maybe/ If I’m lucky, eh…,” he chants on-top of the power chorus, sounding like a cross between Ed Sheeran‘s “Shape Of You” and Shawn Mendes‘ “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back.”

Its sleek, very current and easily his most unapologetically pop song since “Want You To Want Me.” I ain’t mad at it…

Jason Derulo’s “If I’m Lucky” is also available on Apple Music, Google Play and Spotify!
