Noah Cyrus Delivers Her Most Personal Yet On The Emotionally Devastating, ‘Almost Famous’!

Miley Cyrus might be getting all the attention for feeling so much “Younger Now” this month, but her baby sis Noah Cyrus is also making some headlines of her very own.

On top of joining Queen Carly Rae Jepsen and Purity Ring as the opening acts for Katy Perry on the North American leg of her Witness tour, which kicks off next month, the 17-year-old singer-songstress has also earned herself a Best New Artist nomination at this weekend’s 2017 MTV VMAs – And Today (August 25), as a celebratory treat to her fans, Noah has finally released the studio version of “Almost Famous,” a song she’s been performing for months now throughout her live show dates.

Almost Famous” is a painful guitar-pop ode to a relationship that’s come to an end, and also the first time Noah‘s displayed any sort of real vulnerability during her debut NC-17 era, apart from the Labrinth-assisted “Make Me (Cry).” “Wouldn’t have been so quick to give you up/ When you got a good thing you should hold it…,” Noah softly croons above the soft acoustics.

It’s a gorgeously heartbreaking tune, with the kind of lyrics that leave a impactful sting: “We were almost legends, you and me/ We were almost perfect/ We were almost like the people in the paintings/ It’s like we were almost/ It’s like we were almost famous, famous, famous…

Almost Famous” just might be my favorite from Noah yet, the beauty of the song lies in its simplicity. LOVE!

“The studio version of ‘Almost Famous‘ is finally out and I hope you guys love it. This song is so personal to me and I can’t thank Ilsey Juber and Dan Wilson enough for helping me bring my emotions to life. I was feeling so sad when I was writing ‘Almost Famous‘,” Noah wrote in a letter to her fans. “Through many tears while singing it in Dan’s recording room this is the end result and I hope it gives you a small glimpse into my world and what I was going through before putting my music out. If any of you are going through heartache right now just know I’ve been through it… YOU WILL get through it… I know the feeling when it feels like the end of the damn world but I swear its not. If you’re feeling sad over someone right now it will be over soon. One day you will meet someone who will just be your person and it will just click the way it should and you will know when the hurt is worth it. I swear! I love you all so much.”

Noah Cyrus’ “Almost Famous” is also available on Apple Music and Spotify now!
