All you gotta do is let me know…
Just last week, Kelela made her grand return with her first new music release since the drop of her Hallucinogen EP in 2015, “LMK” – and if you thought the song already sounded like a blast from the past with its Aaliyah-esque vibe, just wait until you see the accompanying music video released this morning (August 9) because it’s pure late ’90s/early ’00s R&B nostalgia.
From that shiny metallic trench coat, to the bold backdrops, to the non-stop choreography and wig changes, everything about “LMK” looks like and feels like a throwback to those hazy, underground NYC nights with club heads. It’s a total win!
“LMK” is the first single off of her long-awaited, full-length album called Take Me Apart, which is set to be released on October 4th from Warp Records.
