It’s been quite the journey for one of the UK’s most exciting young artists, Miss Becky Hill, whose steadily been revealing the impressive cuts from her debut Eko EP for over a year now – from “Back To My Love” to “WARM” to “Rude Love” back in March.
To coincide with the announcement her very own Eko Records imprint, the talented London-based songstress has shared the EP’s final but by no means less impactful cut, the uplifting: “Unpredictable,” co-written and co-produced alongside MNEK and Karen Poole.
The infectious track is the perfect melding of a gospel-tinged R&B base and forward-thinking UK House production paired with Becky‘s powerful, full-bodied vocals. “Love is unpredictable/ Oh, love is unpredictable,” she croons throughout.
“I didn’t write ‘Unpredictable‘ for myself originally, but I fell in love with it and needed it as my own!,” Becky said in a statement. “I love this song because it was about keeping faith in a time when I was running low on hope. It’s also the most up tempo song I’ve released under my own name to date and definitely a song I’ve danced round my lounge to a couple times!”
The EP closes a chapter and kicks off a new one for the rising artist as she has just signed to Polydor Records, home of James Blake, Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey and more. The next phase for Becky is her highly anticipated debut album, due in 2018 – STAY TUNED!
