While we’ve yet to receive an official release date for Lust For Life, Lana Del Rey‘s not being shy about slowing revealing the cuts from the upcoming LP little by little.
Following “Love” and The Weeknd-assisted title track, our Queen of the West Coast has unleashed “Coachella – Woodstock In My Mind,” produced by her frequent collaborator Rick Nowels and Kieron Menzies.
“I was at Coachella leaning on your shoulder watching your husband swinging time / I guess I was in it because baby for a minute it was Woodstock in my mind,” Lana sings over the slow-tripping, atmospheric production. “I’d trade it all for a stairway to heaven / I take my time before I climb up to the top of it / I trade the fame and the fortune in the west / I give it all away if you give me just one day to ask him one question.”
“What a blessing it is to make music in general. And to have the freedom to put songs out about things that move me in real time,” Lana said in a statement via her Instagram. “I wrote this one last month on my way back from Coachella. Thank you to my producer and engineers for turning it around so quickly. Hope you like it. The video with Starboy is out soon. x Lana.”
