While we patiently await the release of Miley Cyrus‘ brand new single “Malibu,” which is set to drop on Thursday (May 11), let’s turn our focus to another member of the Cyrus family: Little Miss Noah Cyrus!
To prep us for her performance at this Sunday’s 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards, the 17-year-old younger sister to Miley has dropped the official music video for “Stay Together,” the second single off of her upcoming RECORDS LLC debut album, NC-17.
The clip, directed by Christopher Sims, follows Noah as she cruises around with a group of friends, doing what most teenagers do best. Hang out a your school’s track yard, run through sprinklers, make a pointless run to the convenience store for donuts and ice cream, FaceTime with other friends while with friends… you know, the works! It’s basically what you’d expect to come from a care-free anthem all about being a teenager.
“When I listen to it, it brings me back to the very first time I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m going to sneak out and I’m going to stay all night and not worry about anything’,” Noah told Idolator. “And that’s where it really gets all of its attitude, I think. It’s from that young angst of wanting to go out and have the best time with your friends and people who you love.”
