‘Bon Appétit’: Katy Perry Serves Up A Semi-Satisfying Treat With A Side Of Migos!

“Bon Appétit”! It’s time to move on from “Chained To The Rhythm” (thank god), Katy Perry is serving up a new single with a side of Migos!

For her second serving off of her upcoming fourth studio album, the singer-songstress is turning it up even more with a steamy, most infectious, cheek-tastic celebration of her female anatomy hidden behind the thinnest of veils: “Cause I’m all that you want, boy/ all that you can have, boy/ got me spread like a buffet/ bon ah, bon appétit, baby/ appetite for seduction/ fresh out the oven/ Melt in your mouth kind of lovin’/ Bon appétit, baby,” she declares on-top of the synth-pop heavy, Max Martin-production.

But the first two chorus go-rounds are merely a tease… by the time we reach course three, the song swells with even more epic waves of synthesizers as Offset, Takeoff, and Quavo lead us to song’s final chorus.

The play-on-words silliness is consistent throughout, much like her Teenage Dream ode to penis “Peacock” – but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was a little underwhelmed. As far as production is concerned, this is Katy‘s most unexpected output in awhile. No radio trend-hopping, no tropical flutes, no repetitive vocal-loops, just pure synth-pop bliss – me like!

I mostly have a problem with the song’s lyrical content.. but whatever, I guess. It’s simply fun and fine, even if the whole schtick will probably become stale after a few days.

Katy Perry’s new single “” is also available on Apple Music and Spotify!
