SZA Takes Full ‘CTRL’ On Travis Scott Collaboration, ‘Love Galore’!

SZA got all twisted up in her feelings with the dreamy and ethereal “Drew Barrymore” at the start of the year. But you can’t keep a bad bitch down for too long!

Love Galore” is the much-buzzed Travis Scott collaboration (and official second single) from CTRL (aka Control), her upcoming full-length debut album. And unlike the lead single, this one’s not so much of downer: It’s all about SZA taking, yes, control and putting herself first after being used as amusement in a loveless affair — a self-empowerment anthem of sorts, yes, with some steamy sexual spark.

Why you bother me when you know you don’t want me? / Why you bother me when you know you got a woman? / Why you hit me when you know you know better?,” she sings over the bongo-patterned beat, produced by thankgod4cody and Carter Lang. La Flame comes through with his own verse, singing, “You like to get me high/ You don’t want no one beside ya/ You like when I make fire/ You say La Flame can make you fly, yeah (make you fly, yeah).”

It’s another winning output from the genre-blurring songstress, and the accompanying visual is exactly what we’ve been needing from her. I LIVE!

SZA’s new single “Love Galore (feat. Travis Scott)” is available on Apple Music and Spotify now!
