“Love Galore” is the much-buzzed Travis Scott collaboration (and official second single) from CTRL (aka Control), her upcoming full-length debut album. And unlike the lead single, this one’s not so much of downer: It’s all about SZA taking, yes, control and putting herself first after being used as amusement in a loveless affair — a self-empowerment anthem of sorts, yes, with some steamy sexual spark.
“Why you bother me when you know you don’t want me? / Why you bother me when you know you got a woman? / Why you hit me when you know you know better?,” she sings over the bongo-patterned beat, produced by thankgod4cody and Carter Lang. La Flame comes through with his own verse, singing, “You like to get me high/ You don’t want no one beside ya/ You like when I make fire/ You say La Flame can make you fly, yeah (make you fly, yeah).”
It’s another winning output from the genre-blurring songstress, and the accompanying visual is exactly what we’ve been needing from her. I LIVE!
