Kiiara Reunites With Felix Snow On Summer-Ready Bop, ‘Whippin’!

Kiiara is “Whippin” her way back into the spotlight!

Aside from her collaboration with Linkin Park on “Heavy,” the “Gold” breakout star has remained relatively quiet on the solo music front ever since dropping her debut Low Kii Savage EP around this time last year. But now, with an opening slot on The ChainsmokersMemories: Do Not Open Tour, Kiiara is ready to get back into it – and our first taste of new material from her upcoming second EP (due out later this month) comes in the form of: “Whippin” featuring her longtime collaborator Felix Snow!

The genius producer, who is part responsible for the greatness that is Terror Jr., brings his signature brand of tropical, trap-inspired production to the summer-ready bop with subtle mallet progressions and skittering hi-hats. Kiiara‘s light and airy vocals dip in and out throughout before switching things up with her lower, more natural voice on the second verse: “Phone lit, past three, see you say what’s up/ Fuckboy, thought I told you not to hit me up/ I got a problem and it sucks, boy/ O.T., I’m in love with the fuckboys/ I’m just bein’ real, can I keep it real?

It’s one of those windows-down, sunnys-on, hands-in-the-air summertime feel bops and I am all about it. Welcome back girl!

Kiiara’s brand new single “Whippin (feat. Felix Snow)” is also available on Apple Music!
