Happy #NewMusicFriday kiddies. This is a time to rejoice!
Why? Because after months and months of delays, Zara Larsson‘s international debut album, So Good, has officially been released – And yes, it is indeed so good, so good, so good.
If you’re just now getting familiar with the young and talented Swedish darling, shame on you, seriously. I’ve been writing about her ever since she reintroduced herself with “Bad Boys” way back in 2013, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
To help, here’s a brief recap to explain why So Good is indeed So Good: She’s already released five singles from the album and they’re all smashes (even if they weren’t, chart wise).
YUPP! Zara‘s current single “So Good” speaks for itself – it’s so good, the irresistibly addictive “Lush Life” is the summer anthem that never quits being a summer anthem, the Sasha-sampling “I Would Like” is better than all your faves, the sassy “Ain’t My Fault” is the #SomethingMoreUrban banger we didn’t ask for but lived for anyway, and the MNEK-assisted “Never Forget You” is still one of the Best Pop Songs of 2015/16 – you can’t fight me on it.
Know what else is good? The effervescent, island-influenced “TG4M,” the ode to self-pleasure “Only You,” the dancehall summertime banger “Sundown” with Wizkid, the unsurprisingly melodic Ed Sheeran co-write “Don’t Let Me Be Yours,” the Rihanna-sounding female empowerment anthem “Make That Money Girl,” and the euphoric Clean Bandit collaboration “Symphony.” Some filler, yes, but overall there’s very little amounts of dud in this set folks.
