Ashlee Simpson, L-O L-O L-O L-O-V-E chanteuse, is reportedly “Coming Back For More“!
Nearly one full decade after the release of her underrated third studio album Bittersweet World (8 years, to be exact), the I Am Me-legend-turned-mommy-of-two is finally readying her return to music – but it’s probably not in the way you expected, just yet at least.
In a recent interview with US Weekly, Ashlee confirmed that she and her husband of two years, Evan Ross, have been hard at work on a very special project. “We’re working on an album together. So in the new year, that will be happening! It’s been really fun to work together.”
So yeah.. we’re first getting a joint, duo-type album from Ashlee and Evan. The sound is “soulful, fun and reflective of music that [we] both like. We’re doing this album together and then we’ll go off and do our own.” Evan adding, “I don’t think she ever really stopped. Music is something so important to both of us. So we’ll release this album and then she’ll work on hers.”
You hear that?!? Aside from her couple project, Ashlee plans to release a solo record in the not-too-distant future. I don’t know if its because I’m too gay to function or its just that I put the heat up in my apartment too high, but I’m quite literally “Burnin Up” with excitement.
Long live the queen!
