Dua Lipa Switches It Up On Debut LP Stunner, ‘Room For 2’!

Dua Lipa – who I introduced back in February – is on verge of a U.S breakout moment!!

Following a string of fantastic single releases – from “New Love” to “Be The One” to “Last Dance” to “Hotter than Hell,” which cracked the UK Top 20 this summer – the talented English beauty has finally made her first ever entry in the U.S with her current single “Blow Your Mind (Mwah)” debuting at #72 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. MAYJAH!!!

If that wasn’t enough, this week, Dua has decided to share with us a brand new track titled “Room For 2” from her upcoming self-titled debut album – due out early next year – and it’s certainly worth a listen, or 2.

The soulful ballad sees the songstress ditching the infectious dance beats of her previous singles in favor of some delicate, piano melodies and a slow-staggering electro-pop pulse. The result is something of a cross between Lana Del Rey and Lorde, as Dua bares her (very young) soul atop a much more raw, stripped-down production. “Up and down, it all comes back around/ Push and shove, do you feel better now?/ Knock, knock, knock/ You’ll come tumblin’ down/ Karma’s got a kiss for you,” Dua tenderly croons above the soft atmospherics, in what is surely one of her most intimate and personal recordings yet.

A beautiful representation of her versatility – WIN!!

This girl has a TON of potential. Saw her live on Kimmel or Fallon and she looked so comfortable up there, swagger for days. Keep posting about her!
