While we’ve yet to receive a release date for her much-delayed sophomore album Joyride, Tinashe has been keeping extremely busy racking up her list of collaborations. Over the last few months, the genre-bouncing songstress has gotten together with Enrique Iglesais on his Latin smash “Duele El Corazon,” KDA on his late-night club banger “Just Say,” Davido on his rhythmic debut single “How Long,” and most recently, GTA on their explosive Good Times Ahead LP highlight “All Caught Up.”
This week, Tinashe is back at it again with yet another fierce collaboration, “Freal Luv,” the first single from Far East Movement‘s upcoming fifth studio album Identity, due out on October 21st. The track, featuring production from EDM mysterio Marshmello and a rapping verse from Chanyeol, is killer dance floor cut, combining Far East Movement‘s signature “Like a G6” style with Marshmello‘s throbbing bass music sensibilities.
“I’m all yours when you really want to take me there,” she seductively croons on the hook. “Don’t let me go nowhere/ I’ll give it all up for you, I swear/ Only for real love/ That love that keeps me shaking/ So real there’s no mistaking.”
“‘Freal Luv‘ is a feeling for anyone around the world, and we wanted the song to represent that,” Far East Movement said in a statement. “Our focus for our next album is to bring the east and the west together creatively for a global movement. Connecting everyone on ‘Freal Luv‘ was definitely a journey that we felt was necessary because each artist featured is the next and best at what they do.”
