Carrie Underwood, aka Queen of Country-Pop, has just dropped the music video for her feisty Storyteller single “Dirty Laundry“!
Directed by Shane C. Drake, the black-and-white visual sees Carrie in various outfits as she serves good face to the camera while performing the track in simple backdrops. In-between her shots, various women, men, snakes, horses, owls, you name it…, are shown to “represent the parallels between human and animal behavior and instincts.”
“It’s about emotion — my emotion, [and] we have other people that came in to just kind of be one-on-one with the camera and just emote directly into the lens,” Carrie told ET about the video. “Different guys and girls come in, and it’s just all about emotion. It’s not to following the storyline too much, which is something I really didn’t wanna do. It’s a little more abstract than that. It gave us a way to portray one of my songs in a way we’ve never done before.”
“Dirty Laundry” is easily one of the standouts off the LP, so I’m happy its finally getting the single treatment. What do you guys think?
