ZAYN Contributes To ‘Ghostbusters’, Teams Up With Snakehips On ‘Cruel’

ZAYNIt’s a good day for ZAYN fans!

Following the release of his very solid debut solo album Mind Of Mine, one of my 2016 faves, the former One Direction pop prince has gone on to grace the cover of just about every magazine you can think of – from NME to Elle UK to DAZED to Paper – all while still keeping it low-key when it comes to actual public appearances – you know, because he suffers from intense anxiety.

With no time to lose though, ZAYN is back at it again with not one, but two new tracks this week: “wHo,” his contribution to Ghostbusters (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) and “Cruel,” his brand new collaboration with British production duo Snakehips!

Evidently still inspired by the moody alt-R&B vibes of his debut Mind of Mine, both “wHo” and “Cruel” see ZAYN surrendering to his emotions on these sweetly-sung, thumping electro-R&B anthems. “Cruel” is the slightly more experimental cut as far as production is concerned – thank you, Snakehips – but its lyrical theme of lusting over that special girl are still very familiar: “It’s such a cruel world/ Savin’ all my love for you, girl/ It’s such a cruel world/ Maybe I found somethin’ good girl,” he croons.

It’s not hard to imagine these two being included on his debut, I actually would’ve preferred them both over maybe “fOol fOr YoU” and “lUcOzAdE.” Stream both tracks below – What do you guys think??
