‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’: Justin Timberlake’s Summery ‘Trolls’ Soundtrack Return!

JT is back!! Just in time for the weekend, Justin Timberlake returns with the uplifting “Can’t Stop The Feeling,” the mean theme and lead single off the upcoming Trolls soundtrack, due out September 23.

Reuniting with hit-making producer Max Martin, Justin delivers a sunny feel-good jam loaded with summery, shimmering disco stomps, funky guitar licks and easy breezy melodies. “Nothing I can see but you when you dance, dance, dance/ Feeling good, good, creeping up on you/ So just dance, dance, dance, come on,” JT sings on the infectious hook. “All those things I should do to you/ But you dance, dance, dance/ And ain’t nobody leaving soon, so keep dancing.”

It’s not a completely radical sonic transformation (this is for a kids movie) — he’s slipping back into comfortable, familiar territory. And yet, it still retains some modern R&B freshness. A thrilling preview of what’s still to come as Justin serves as the executive music producer for the soundtrack, where he has contributed three additional tracks plus a cover of the 1986 hit “True Colors” with Anna Kendrick. Additionally, JT voices a troll named Branch in the upcoming DreamWorks Animation 3D film, which is scheduled to hit theaters on November 4th!
