Hot on the heels of the release of the amazing The Knocks remix of her new single “Chronic” – which was featured on my 2016 Dance Spring Playlist, LA-based songwriter turned indie-pop artist Phoebe Ryan has premiered the official video for her addictive little smash-on-the-rise!

The clip, directed by Anthony Chirco, follows Phoebe and her band mates as they blossom from bullied high school nerds into full blown rock stars performing at the homecoming dance. It’s Phoebe first proper music video where she shows off some acting skills and looks like a legit pop star so I’m all about it. Get familiar now kiddies!

“The idea was inspired by… have you ever seen the P. Diddy music video for ‘Bad Boys For Life’?” Phoebe told Teen Vogue. “I saw that video and I was like, it’d be cool to have a video about a garage band that really sucks and then they turn into really awesome rock stars.”
