Everyone, please give a warm welcome to Miesa!
Back in December, the rising South Jersey-born 24-year-old singer-songwriter dropped her latest single “Too Bad For You” and I’ve been hooked ever since. Sometimes, the beauty of a song lies in its simplicity, and that’s just what’s happening here: Backed by delicate piano notes, tripping hip-hop beats and warm synths gently floating in the distance, “Too Bad For You” recalls the sensual soulfulness of R&B divas Toni Braxton and Tamia. It’s sexy, effortlessly soulful and ultra soothing — the girl sure knows how to sing the hurt away and I am all about it.
To tide us over as she continues to put in work work work on her upcoming debut LP, there’s this wonderful new Remix EP for the track that we’re here to talk about today. More specifically, the official SmoothLOVE remix of “Too Bad For You!
The SmoothLOVE mix takes Miesa‘s full-bodied vocals and warps them around a cool, confident disco strut and space-age synthesizers, giving the song an even more sensual feel. Check it out below!
“The Smooth Love remix is my favorite of all the mixes,” Miesa told Jon ALi. “It just puts me in a chilled mood like that moment right before you head to the club”
