Iggy Azalea Makes Her Confident Return On Trap Banger ‘Team’!

Iggy AzaleaAttention, remaining members of Team Iggy: I-G-G-Y IS BACK!

Now before you haters start rolling your eyes, let us remember that before the ridiculous hiatuses and breaks from Twitter, the endless back-and-forth arguments about cultural appropriation with Azealia Banks, the messy Britney Spears collaboration, the canceled tour and the now-settled feud with Erykah Badu, there was an artist named Iggy Azalea – with proper bangerz like “Work,” “Change Your Life,” “Fancy,” “Black Widow” and the underrated “Beg For It” – we were all rooting for until we caused her to have “a psychotic breakdown last year.”

In Iggy‘s just released interview with Schön! Magazine she admits: “I felt tired and stressed out. Last year, I felt like I was definitely not in control of the media’s narrative of me. It made me feel very out of control of my own life or my ability to have my own perception of who I was,” Iggy told the mag. “You don’t want someone else writing your narrative and making you the villain. Then I just realized that, you know what, you can’t control it and I think I accepted that and moved on to living my life.”

Atta girl! And now, following the release of buzz track “Azillion” back in January, Iggy is ready to put the past behind her and declare her independence with comeback track “Team,” the official lead single from her upcoming sophomore album Digital Distortion.

Produced by long-time collaborators D.R.U.G.S., “Team” sees Iggy confidently shutting down her doubters – “(Hell nah) Go and give ’em all the finger” – while a hard-hitting trap beat smacks in the background. “Baby I got me/ Baby I got me/ And that’s all I need/ Yeah that’s all I need/ Baby I got me/ Only friend I see/ Playing on my team/ Is someone like…,” she assures on the hook. “Me, baby, no way/ Watch me while I do my thing.”

Iggy‘s flow sounds vastly improved and production wise, the beat goes IN. Are you rollin’ with the team?

This is **exactly** the type of song she needs to release. Something so catchy that people will forget about the person rapping/singing and just listen to it. Justin Bieber mastered the technique last year and everyone forgot about the past. I for one think she’s quite talented (just not at social media) so I hope she has a good year.

I agree.. Good tactic for her, though the video isn’t nearly as good or cohesive as any of Bieb’s dance videos.

I agree, but the new JB songs are amazing. This isn’t on par with those, imo. If the songs weren’t good they wouldn’t have moved on from his drama. They still remember but it’s hard to hate a good song.

I’ve liked all the previous releases except for Pretty Girls and the one with Jennifer Hudson. Nothing going against JHud.
