Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘E•MO•TION’ Remixed Comes With Two New Tracks: ‘First Time’ & ‘Fever’ – Listen!

Carly Rae JepsenCarly Rae Jepsen is truly a gift, a gift that keeps on giving.

Just last month, we got her wonderful rendition of the Full(er) House theme “Everywhere You Look,” as well as her super sweet disco collaboration with The Knocks, “Love Me Like That,” and now, we have two brand new tracks to gush over: “First Time” and “Fever“!

Both come from the special Remixed edition of her free-of-flaws album E•MO•TION, which (for now) will only be exclusively released to Japan tomorrow (March 18). E•MO•TION was originally released in Japan months before it saw a worldwide release last year so this makes total sense. As for the new gems, I’m assuming they’re just unreleased cuts from Carly‘s E•MO•TION sessions, where she recorded over 200 songs for the LP. Does that make them any less great? NO! Carly only serves up sugary sweet, ’80’s-tinged pop greatness!

Thanks so much for posting these tracks. I have a ticket to see her next Friday, and I’ve been keeping my eye on Setlist.fm for the setlist. A little over a week ago she begun adding “Fever” to the setlist. And about 3 or 4 days ago, someone uploaded the first one minute concert clip of her performing it live onto Youtube . It’s so awesome to finally hear a studio version. I even ordered the EMOTION REMIXED + album from HMV Japan online, but that most likely won’t come in time for the concert. Thanks to you I can begin learning the words right away in time to see her for next Friday! And yes, meet her too. Yay for VIP Meet & Greets. Regarding the setist lately, I’m kinda bummed that she cut the setlist down from 21 to 19 songs over the past two or three weeks, and especially that she stopped playing “Curiosity” (Acoustic), “Love Again”, and “Tiny Little Bows”, but at least “Fever” is an excellent addition! 🙂 So totally looking forward to seeing her live one week from today! Even bought at ticket to Jack Antonoff’s Shadow of the City in NJ so I can see her again. 🙂 And Jon, as a fan of your blog for what seems like forever, I definitely have the same taste in music artists, so I’ve appreciated all the love you’ve given for this perfect album.
