Much like last year’s Valentine’s Day set, #LOVEJO2 offers us a grown and sophisticated mini-collection of songs – the Donna Lewis “I Love You Always Forever“-sampling “Right On Time,” the ’90s-house pulsating “Back2Life” (courtesy of Soul II Soul, obvi) and the gorgeous “Thinkin Out Loud” — as well as a “Real Love“-sampling remix of her #Tringle lead single “When Love Hurts.” As always, the vocal slayage is beyond on point: Especially once you reach “Thinkin Out Loud,” you best believe you’ll be heading straight to church. Right On Time is so very good … and so happy that she released a full version of “Thinking Out Loud” — my favorite!
This is better than her “tringle”. In the past her EPs & Mixtapes were always better than the leaked album material that never got released. I hope she releases something good now that those three singles have seemed to flop.
