Katy B Begins To Tease New Music with ‘Calm Down’ – Listen!

Katy B, consistent supplier of amazing alt-dance music, has been providing us with hugely addictive, left-field tunage ever since her 2011 debut, On A Mission — as well as 2014’s Little Red and this year’s fall treat: “Turn the Music Louder (Rumble),” her club-ready collaboration with Tinie Tempah and KDA.

This week, the UK dance floor princess returns with “Calm Down,” the first piece of music taken from her new project entitled Honey. The song itself is a wonky chilled-out, almost garage-like house gem produced by Four Tet and Floating Points. “All I really wanna do is get down, down, down, down..,” she sings on-top of the pure dark, throbbing pulsations. It’s a instant favorite from the first listen, and as with everything else she’s done since her debut, it’s a infectious slice of dance that manages to sound fresh amongst all the the tiresome trends of her fellow dance acts. I can’t wait for more!!
