So if you’re a fan a sports (an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment), then you should be well aware of Football and the Super Bowl Halftime Show, which in the last few years has been referred as the Madonna concert, the Beyoncé concert, the Katy Perry concert, etc… etc.
Last night, British foursome Coldplay announced that they will be headlining this year’s prestigious halftime moment just hours before they released their brand new album, A Head Full Of Dreams! The album – which reached Number One on iTunes in more than 50 countries before it was even released – was produced by hit-making duo Stargate together with the band’s long-time collaborator Rik Simpson.
The LP – featuring appearances from Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo and Merry Clayton – is a mostly uplifting effort that does a great job at pleasing the bigger audience that Coldplay seems to desperately want to please with songs like lead single “Adventure of a Lifetime,” “Hymn for the Weekend” and “Fun” providing us with giant pop hooks and earnest vows of joy. But, don’t fret, it also does a great job at pleasing longtime fans: “Birds” “Everglow” and “Amazing Day” all sound like signature Coldplay. You won’t be disappointed.
In celebration of the release, JonALi’sBlog is giving away 3 copies of Coldplay‘s new A Head Full Of Dreams album!
