In August, I introduced New Jersey-bred singer-songwriter FLETCHER and her ridiculously good debut single, “War Paint“!

Well finally after becoming the #1 most shared Spotify track on social media in U.S, and #2 globally on the Viral 50 Chart in July (earning nearly 20M streams to date.), the rising songstress has given us more to work with this week: “Live Young Die Free,” another empowering anthem crafted alongside R. City – the production duo behind breakout hit “Locked Away” featuring Adam Levine.

Where “War Paint” dealt with love and acceptance, “Live Young Die Free” encourages you to take risks and live in the moment. “So watch me turn it up like this/ Make it loud ’til I feel it rumble like this/ Boom boom, you better make my heartbeat skip/ Won’t stop until I make history/ I wanna live young, die free free free,” she declares above the slow-soldiering drums and light flourishes of electronica.

It’s got a real striding, anthemic feel – Pure pop bliss!

“To me, the song isn’t so much about just living in the moment, but rather about it never being too late to push yourself to take risks and make opportunities for yourself in this world,” FLETCHER told Teen Vogue. “I grew up in a place where everyone was the same and had the same aspirations. No one ever dared to be different. ‘Live Young Die Free’ is about living life with no regrets whatsoever because I wouldn’t want to have it any other way.”
