Between the addicting “Drag Me Down” and the super dreamy “Infinity,” One Direction have already given their fans plenty of reason to believe that their upcoming fifth and possibly final studio album, Made In The A.M, will be just as good as their previous efforts (maybe even better?)
This week, the boys – Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson – have thrown official “Drag Me Down” follow-up single “Perfect” into the mix as the album’s latest iTunes pre-order treat. The track, written alongside Harry, Louis, Julian Bunetta, Jacob Hindlin, Maureen McDonald, John Ryan and Jesse Shatkin, is a slick and sleekly ’80’s-tinged pop number packed with shimmering synths and an immense chorus that will have you hooked the moment it drops: “But if you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms/ And if you like having secret little rendezvous/ If you like to do the things you know that we shouldn’t do/ Baby, I’m perfect/ Baby, I’m perfect for you,” Harry croons.
The boys captures the thrill of a fresh romance perfectly on the tense, lust-filled production and, unsurprisingly, it sounds very similar to Taylor Swift‘s very own ode to romance “Style.” Coincidence? I think not – Get into it!
